DINER AT “THE BEAST” RESTAURANT PARIS
I have lived in Paris for more than 7 years now, and over the years, I feel like I’ve really got to know the best places to eat in the city. It’s taken me a long time to discover all my favorite restaurants and trust me ,I know you can eat really bad stuff in Paris since it’s such a touristic city. So I kept really well my list of amazing brunches, cafes and restaurants and I usually stick to it. But am really not opposed to try new places when it’s recommended by my friends or bloggers I know and trust. So I was recently introduced to a new American Barbecue place called THE BEAST and I liked it so much I thought I would share it with you guys in a blog post.
The Restaurant is situated in Republique, a great neighbourhood. It’s fairly small but very cozy and I loved the way it was decored. You truly feel like you’ve entered a American place. American Flags everywhere, staff half English and really nice smoked meat smell ^^.
Concept is quite easy to understand. You get to order your drinks first and move over to the back open kitchen of the restaurant to order your meal. There is no menu, you just choose your meat and what you want to eat it with. Pictures below will show you we went for steak and pulled pork with sweet potato, coleslaw and mac and cheese. There are much more to choose from : Ribs, Turkey, smoked sausages etc. My Healthy advice to you guys : I personnaly didn’t go for the healthiest option, but if you have to follow you friends but aren’t necessarly up for such a rich meal, go for turkey and sweet potato … NO BREAD 🙂 !
Price wise, I will say it’s quite expensive, even for Paris, and the – no menu – menu is for something here. Cheapest meat is 9 €, side food (coleslaw, macarroni etc) is minimum 5 €, add 2 € for the round bread and 7 to 10 € for your drink.
